Dos extractos lindos son:

De https://pdos.csail.mit.edu/pipermail/roofnet/2007-January/001411.html

"In terms of coordinating an effort, one good direction might be to
take the best ideas from the Roofnet project (the metrics, etc.) and
implement them in a well formed code base such as OLSRd. The Roofnet
code was designed to let us experiment with new ideas, and not with the
intent of defining a routing protocol standard, so it's intentionally
sloppy in a sense. If you're planning to invest a lot of effort, it
might be a good idea to start from something cleaner. Also, the Roofnet
protocols could easily change in the future (for research purposes,
without backward compatibility), which might cause confusion."

"In regard to source, see http://meraki.net/linux/
and the OpenWRT 2.0 part at the the bottom of the page here:
http://pdos.csail.mit.edu/roofnet/doku.php?id=software
But I understand that that will not successfully build an image
for Netgears without some additional tweaks, so you'd be best of
communicating with folks more knowledgeable about that process
than I am before trying it."
