Proba de agragar esta regla a tu firewal:

iptables -A INPUT -p tcp !--syn -i ppp0 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A INPUT -p udp --sourceport 53 -i ppp0 -j ACCEPT
Eso te permitiria navegar y conectarte con los mensajeros instantaneos.
