aca paso la respuesta del mantenedor de kicker, Aaron Seigo  
gracias a Lucas Sallovitz que me paso la direccion de su blog

unforutnately, no. doing it right would require breaking patents that i am 
personally aware of, which could get me into a lot of trouble. and i'm not 
content to have the zoom icons the way they were in the past as they were 
very bugy. 

don't worry, though. we're working on things that are way better than icon 
zooming and people will come to love those new things as much or more =) 
sometimes you have to trade one good thing to get a lot of better things =)

i don't think _most_ people miss it as it wasn't even on by default. =)
